With Christmas approaching and the New Year just around the corner; I am excited about what lies ahead for Logifem!
This past year has been a year of transition for our organization. We completed the construction of our new apartment complex and welcomed 6 new families into these lovely spaces. Through the generosity of our donors we were able to equip each unit with appliances and the furnishings required. The completion of this project was the realization of a longtime dream for Logifem as it has opened up our housing options for women with children who are ready to transition to autonomous living.
Also during this past year we had a temporary change in leadership, our Executive Director, Sally Richmond was on maternity leave and welcomed a very cute addition to her family. We were blessed to have Ruth Bresnan, one of our Board Members take on the Interim Role of Executive Director in Sally’s absence; Ruth did an excellent job navigating us through some of these significant changes and we are grateful for her willingness to step up and lead during this period.
As we look ahead to 2016, I am excited to see what is in store for Logifem; we have found that as we work toward our mission of helping women in difficulty, so many wonderful opportunities rise up to meet us, so who knows what might be ahead?
