A new recruit to the team

When I got the job at Logifem, last November, I knew it was going to be a very special experience. I’m pleased to say that my predictions have humbly surpassed this. From the first hello, I was received with such warmth and friendliness.  The COVID-19 masks meant I couldn’t see their smiles, however I felt them undoubtedly.

It’s such an honour to be part of the Logifem Family.

A huge thank you to the staff and residents who make my job in the kitchen more enjoyable and purposeful.

Celebrating 10 years!

As I walked through the doors of Logifem one day in 2011, I had no idea I was about to find the most rewarding experience of my career. And looking back ten years, I can honestly say Soli Deo Gloria (to the glory of God alone).

As an Intervention Worker, I am deeply immersed in the core of difficult issues, mental health problems being the most common. Coming from a community background with a foundation in law, I had to adapt constantly.

The extraordinary intervention team that I work with has skillfully managed crises and provided support to women and their families who are facing tough times. We witness their tears and deep pain but also see their resilience and desire to overcome their difficulties. I’ve said goodbye to so many.  Residents who have left to continue their journey, colleagues who were moving on to other challenges and interns we have welcomed who have enriched our residents’ lives.

We also work with wonderful volunteers who give countless hours to support our mission and always remain engaged and faithful to their commitment. I’ve collaborated on various interesting projects with community partners to improve women’s health and their living conditions.

Logifem has changed throughout the years. Thanks to the exemplary leadership and to all our supporters and donors, we evolve and adapt.

Logifem is a community of women and men who believe that hope can exist in spite of despair because along with stories of trauma, there is joy and recovery.

I am proud to have been a building block in this establishment, to which many people have contributed over time.
