I came to Logifem Shelter from a crisis centre. I arrived at night- confused, depressed and frightened. A 51 year old woman who had been in a conjugal violence situation for
13 years.
My stay at Logifem has been a roller coaster ride. At first I didn’t trust anyone. I didn’t have trust or faith. I guess you could say I was a broken woman but ten months later, this woman is strong, confident, assertive, positive, smiling and does have faith. WHY? because of Logifem. A shelter that provides love, support, counselling and more. I have in these ten months cried, vented, screamed , but I learnt the tools from the workers to deal with this. Because of the workers at Logifem I am now a proud woman starting a new life.
Thank you Logifem for giving me a chance to look forward and for helping me to look at my life through a different set of eyes. God bless. For everyone who will pass through the doors of Logifem; they are there to help you to find yourself, to go forward. Trust, believe and have faith. You will prevail. Work hard and you will be where I am and saying what I am saying.
