Accessible bedrooms
Logifem has made the ground floor of our main shelter accessible to be able to welcome women or children in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
Residents staying in our accessible bedrooms also benefit from close support from our Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapist works with the women to help them integrate into community life. She evaluates additional adaptations that may be needed for the woman’s specific needs and ensures coordination with external medical and rehabilitation teams.
Logifem has partnered with the Saint-Henri CLSC to provide home care services. Our accessible bedrooms can accommodate anyone who needs light to moderate assistance with daily living activities. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources in our shelters to accommodate women requiring complete assistance in their daily routines.
