The Coldest Night of the Year 2026

Create Your Team and Walk With Us to Change Lives!

Get your boots, your toque, and your team spirit: registration for the Coldest Night of the Year CNOY 2026 is now open!

Each year, thousands of people across Canada come together to participate in the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY), a community walk supporting individuals experiencing hardship.

This year, Logifem is proud to once again take part in this inspiring event taking place on Saturday, February 28th in St. Henri, Montreal.

The Coldest Night of the Year is a symbolic winter walk: stepping into the cold to better understand the realities faced by those who endure harsh winter conditions.

But above all, it’s a unique, powerful moment that brings people from all backgrounds together around a shared goal: supporting the most vulnerable members of our community.

9 a and82For over 35 years, Logifem has offered a safe living environment and support to women and children experiencing housing instability.
We operate:

• 2 shelters (Maison Benoy and La Lumineuse)
• 13 transition apartments
• 35 permanent social housing units
• A full post-shelter support program

By participating in CNOY, you directly help provide safe shelter, essential resources, and a more stable future for the women and families who rely on Logifem.

🎯 2026 Goal: $60,000 to sustain the essential services of La Lumineuse

La Lumineuse: A Unique Shelter in Need of Support

La Lumineuse welcomes women with children and is one of the few Montreal shelters that accepts teens. It allows families to stay together when most other options separate mothers from their older children.

Since opening four years ago, La Lumineuse has supported:

• 57 mothers
• 83 children, including 16 teenagers aged 13+ and 9 births

The average stay is about 6 months.

Families who arrive at La Lumineuse face difficult realities: financial instability, domestic violence, and challenges linked to immigration. Without this refuge, many would be left to navigate these crises alone—or risk being separated from their children.
This year, 100% of funds raised through CNOY will go directly to La Lumineuse, helping sustain essential services such as food, housing, and tailored psychosocial support.

The success of the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) relies on the energy and commitment of team captains.  They are the ones who gather, motivate, and inspire the people around them to support Logifem.
