Our Team

We are proud to count on a dedicated and dynamic team, working every day to ensure that every resident is welcomed with respect and dignity. Made up of more than 50 people with a wide range of expertise, our team brings together skills in intervention, administration, and operations — and stands out for its cultural diversity, with members from many different countries. The stability of our team is reflected in the long-standing commitment of many employees, including one team member who has been with Logifem for over 20 years.

The Management Team

Sally Richmond

Executive Director

Executive Director of Logifem since 2011, Sally brings over twenty years of experience in non-profit management. Prior to joining Logifem, she worked with organizations focused on forced migration and fair trade, both in Canada and the United Kingdom. Since joining Logifem, she has applied her expertise in organizational development to strengthen the organization's capacity to provide housing and services that support the stability, dignity, and autonomy of women and children. She holds an MBA from Concordia University and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and French Studies from the University of Manchester.

Imene Segueni

Director of Clinical Services

A trained clinical psychologist, Imene worked with women survivors of domestic violence and marginalized families in her country of origin. She completed her internship in a hospital setting and supported children with pervasive developmental disorders. After arriving in Québec in 2010, she worked with children and immigrant families in east Montréal. At Logifem since 2011, she has served as a support worker in supervised apartments and the mother-child program, then led the intervention team and several programs for over eight years. Now Director of Clinical Services, she believes deeply in the resilience of women and the power of collective support.

Jessica Bouchard

Director of Programs and Resident Services

Since 2017, Jessica has brought her expertise to Logifem in service of women and children in vulnerable situations. Holding a Master's degree in addiction intervention and a Bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology, she is particularly committed to developing and adapting services to the realities of the women Logifem accompanies. Over the years, she has contributed to the launch of key initiatives within the service continuum, including the Mother-Child Pavilion, the Children's Club and Empowerment for Moms program, and the prevention program. As Director of Programs and Resident Services, she ensures the quality, consistency, and relevance of all interventions.

Chantal Vinette

Operations Supervisor

After more than twenty years in retail, Chantal wanted her work to have a real impact in the world. She joined Logifem nine years ago and has been part of the leadership team ever since. She oversees all operations, including building and equipment maintenance and security, day-to-day management, in-kind donation coordination, and logistics support during move-ins. She brings great enthusiasm to working with the team and believes that without them, these enormous responsibilities simply could not be met.

Cathy Valenti

Executive Assistant

Cathy first discovered Logifem as a donor of children's dishes through a previous job. After a long career in business and product management, she chose to make a meaningful pivot by joining Logifem as Executive Assistant — exactly what she had been looking for before retirement: contributing to a mission-driven organization while putting her experience to good use. From supporting the Executive Director and managing payroll to her role as a "super buyer" and attentive listener, Cathy is always there. She brings rigor, warmth, and a sincere commitment to the team and to Logifem's mission.

Hayat El Mouda

Senior Advisor, Labour Relations and Staffing

Logifem, Hayat serves as Senior Advisor in labour relations and staffing, supporting teams and managers in building a motivating, safe, and harmonious work environment. She holds a Bachelor's degree in industrial relations and a Master's degree in organizational development, and is a member of the Ordre des CRHA. She brings five years of human resources experience in SMEs and non-profit organizations. Her areas of expertise include labour relations, staffing, HR policies, health and safety, and workplace well-being. Known for her rigor and attentiveness, she works to align HR practices with Logifem's values and social mission.

Bénédicte Lafrance

Food Services Coordinator

Bénédicte has worked in the food sector for nearly 20 years. After several years in the restaurant industry, she sought to redirect her career toward an environment more in line with her social values. She spent seven years at a social integration enterprise as head chef and coordinator, training people from all walks of life in culinary trades to help them regain agency over their professional lives. Now Food Services Coordinator at Logifem, she manages meals at the shelters, the food bank, and donations, while developing food security partnerships to support the women and children in Logifem's care.

Hélène Bertocchi

Permanent Housing Coordinator

Hélène Bertocchi is a coordinator with a passion for developing and implementing meaningful projects. Her background spans human psychology, team coordination, and the continuous improvement of organizational practices. Known for her rigor, human-centered approach, and ability to engage stakeholders, she translates ideas into concrete, structured action. At Logifem, she actively contributes to project development, process optimization, and the maintenance of a high-quality living environment for residents. Her professional values are collaboration, innovation, and the pursuit of lasting impact.

Marie Dangleterre

Community Engagement Coordinator

After several years in communications, marketing, and events, Marie chose to redirect her career toward the community sector in order to put her skills in service of a meaningful cause. Holding degrees in literature and communications as well as a Master's in brand management, she joined Logifem with the goal of contributing to the fight against women's homelessness. As Community Engagement Coordinator, she supports Logifem's visibility through communications, partnerships, events, and volunteer mobilization.

The Field Team

Logifem’s team is made up of committed professionals with complementary areas of expertise, bringing together staff in operations, administration, and intervention. Under the leadership of program and clinical supervisors, the organization relies on support workers active in shelter, permanent housing, and pre- and post-shelter settings, as well as specialized resources (including occupational therapy and specific projects).

The team is also supported by project coordinators, facilitators, on-call workers, and occasional interns. This flexible, multidisciplinary structure allows Logifem to adapt its services to the evolving needs of the women it accompanies.

Zachary Guénette

President

Core expertise: Finance and audit

Zachary Guénette, CPA, is the founder and president of Les Bâtisseurs, a professional services firm. He supports SMEs and non-profit organizations in structuring their financial function, strengthening compliance, and improving governance — with an approach focused on concrete, actionable deliverables. He began his career in audit at a large accounting firm in Montréal before moving into advisory services, where he developed a method grounded in rigor, quality execution, and process optimization. On Logifem's Board of Directors, he serves as Treasurer and contributes to informed financial decision-making in keeping with sound governance principles.

Chiara Sophie Spino

Vice-President

Core expertise: Governance and community engagement

Chiara (/ˈkia.ra/) S. Spino joined Logifem's Board of Directors in 2025. She works as Executive Assistant at McGill University's Centre of Genomics and Policy and also sits on the Board of Directors of the Caisse Desjardins de Lachine. She holds a Bachelor's degree in linguistics from McGill University, including a semester of study at the Sapienza Università di Roma, and is currently pursuing studies in immigration law at the Université de Montréal, with a commitment to supporting family reunification in Canada. Chiara is deeply committed to access to education, intercultural connections, women's empowerment, and community engagement. Moved by Logifem's mission, she also volunteers directly with the families the organization supports.

Kyndra Laurie

Secretary

Core expertise: Finance and administration

Kyndra Laurie has been part of the Logifem community since February 2022, first as a volunteer and then as Secretary of the Board since June 2025. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management with a minor in psychology from Concordia University (2022), as well as a Graduate Certificate in accounting and finance from McGill University. She began her career in banking as a financial advisor before transitioning to the university sector, where she works as an administrator. She also volunteers with the Native Women's Shelter of Montreal and Dans La Rue. She is passionate about creating safe and caring spaces for women and youth.

Caroline Hilde

Treasurer

Core expertise: Wealth management and financial strategy

Caroline Hilde has served on Logifem's Board of Directors since 2025. She chose to volunteer with the organization because the cause of vulnerable women and children seeking to rebuild their lives is one she holds particularly close to her heart. Professionally, Caroline has been a Senior Wealth Management Advisor and Portfolio Manager at Scotia Wealth Management since 1995. Alongside her team, she supports individuals, families, and entrepreneurs in reaching their financial goals with confidence and peace of mind.

Laura Hamilton

Administrator

Core expertise: Frontline experience and social services

Laura Hamilton is a social worker and child protection professional with 25 years of experience in public health and social services networks, in both Québec and British Columbia. A McGill University graduate, she takes a deeply human approach grounded in listening and respect for each person's pace. Throughout her practice, she has seen firsthand how housing precarity represents a major and destabilizing challenge for families — particularly single mothers and women living with violence. This reality led her to want to contribute to the development of concrete, lasting, and adapted solutions to support their stability and well-being.

Catherine Sylvestre

Administrator

Core expertise: Frontline experience and social services

Ruth Bresnen

Chair

Core expertise: Health and social services governance

Involved with Logifem since 2013, Ruth first joined the Board of Directors before serving twice as interim Executive Director during the director's maternity leaves (2014–2015 and 2016–2017). She has been Chair of the Board since 2017. Her professional career spanned over 40 years in the health and social services sector. Prior to her retirement in 2010, she served as Director of Children, Youth and Family Services at the CSSS de l'Ouest-de-l'Île. A trained nurse, she worked at the Montreal Children's Hospital and held management positions at several CLSCs.

Elsa Rolo

Vice-Chair

Core expertise: Human resources

Elsa Rolo joined Logifem's Board of Directors in September 2023. She brings over 25 years of experience in human resources and is President of Human Capital Management, where she supports growing biotechnology companies. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles in talent management and organizational development at SNC-Lavalin, ABB Powergrids, and Ventus Therapeutics. She holds a Master's degree in organizational development from HEC Montréal and is a graduate of McGill University's governance program. A member of the Ordre des CRHA since 1997, she is actively committed to supporting women on their pathway toward stability and autonomy.
