Food and Material Support

Supporting women throughout their journey. Logifem provides food and material support to residents in order to meet their basic needs and foster safe, dignified living conditions.

The support available varies depending on donations received and partnerships, but Logifem always offers access to a food bank service.

Available to women living in our transitional apartments as well as former residents, this service helps meet occasional needs for non-perishable food items — strengthening food security during periods of financial vulnerability. It also serves as a touchpoint with Logifem, helping maintain connection with the organization and directing women to the right resources when needed.

As part of its post-housing support program, Logifem accompanies women through their transition into permanent, autonomous housing. To support a dignified and secure move-in, material assistance is provided to help meet essential needs. Logifem can supply basic furniture, dishware, kitchen items, bedding, and other essential household items.

In addition, a subsidized moving service is offered to help coordinate the move and reduce associated costs. This program also helps prevent women from having to leave personal belongings behind due to a lack of transportation.

This support allows women to settle into their new home with everything they need, helping them build the foundations of lasting stability — with dignity.

We also extend our gratitude to our individual and corporate donors, whose generosity helps keep the solidarity boutique stocked and supports women in meeting their material needs.
