The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY 2027)
Create your team and walk with us to transform lives.
Every year, thousands of people across Canada join this major winter solidarity walk. The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a fundraising event that raises essential funds to support people experiencing homelessness or extreme vulnerability.
By walking in the cold, we take a symbolic stand. We choose to step closer, even for a moment, to the realities faced by those braving winter without the security of a home.
It is a unifying and hopeful event, bringing together citizens, families, and businesses to support the most vulnerable members of our community and contribute to lasting change.
Thanks to Home Depot, Plaza Retail, Burgundy Lions Pub, RBC, Scotia, and IG Gestion de Patrimoine for joining this initiative over the past years.

Why walk with Logifem?
For over 35 years, Logifem has provided safe living spaces and support for women and children experiencing housing instability.
We manage:
- 2 shelters (Maison Benoy and La Lumineuse)
- 13 transitional apartments
- 35 permanent social housing units

Participating in the Coldest Night of the Year directly helps provide safe housing, essential resources, and a more stable future for women and families in need.

How to participate
Get your boots, hat, and team spirit ready: registration for the 2027 edition will open in December. The link to the registration form will be added as soon as it is available.
Once registration is open, follow these 4 steps:
1
Choose your role and register
Do you want to participate as a team captain or team member?
The captain creates the team, invites friends, colleagues, or family, mobilizes their network to raise donations, and walks with the team on event day.
Want to create a team or learn more about this key role?
Contact Judith: judith@logifem.org
2
Mobilize your network
Regardless of your role, talk about the event and convince others to join your team. The more people, the bigger the impact!
3
Raise donations
Each participant contributes by fundraising. Share your commitment with friends, colleagues, and networks using our communication tools. Every contribution counts and helps Logifem reach its goal.
4
Be there on walk day
Experience a meaningful and unifying event. Choose a 2 km or 5 km route according to your preference.
What happens on the day of the walk?
Registration starts at 4 PM, opening remarks at 4:45 PM, and the walk begins at 5 PM. Two marked routes are offered, with rest stops along the way providing snacks.
Walkers who reach the minimum fundraising goal will receive a CNOY toque (limited quantity). The evening concludes with a warm snack to celebrate everyone’s commitment.
Can’t walk?
You can still support the campaign by making a donation. Every contribution counts.
