General Information

Logifem is located in the Sud-Ouest district of Montréal. For security reasons, the addresses of our shelters are not public.

Our services are available to women with or without children, who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, Some programs, such as CECM, are also open to women who are not Logifem residents.

Logifem provides temporary shelters, transitional apartments, and permanent housing for eligible women.

We also offer individual support (psychosocial follow-up, occupational therapy, etc.) and complementary programs such as the Children and Empowerment Club for Moms (CECM), cultural mediation, and tax clinics.

Our support services are free.

Women living in our transitional and permanent apartments benefit from the Rent Supplement Program (PSL), which allows them to pay a rent of approximately 25% of their income.

Residents of our shelters pay a monthly contribution covering housing, meals, electricity, WiFi, and laundry access.

All support and accompaniment services remain free of charge.

Housing

A transitional apartment is temporary housing that provides an intermediate step between a shelter and permanent housing. It allows women to develop independence while receiving ongoing support. Stays can last up to 36 months, depending on the situation.

Response times vary depending on availability. A waiting list may be implemented. We recommend calling Logifem regularly for updates on your application.

Shelter (temporary housing): up to 12 months.

Transitional apartment: up to 36 months.

Permanent housing is also available for eligible women.

Yes. Our shelters, La Maison Benoy and La Lumineuse, accommodate women with children, depending on availability.

At La Lumineuse, teenagers are also admitted. Whenever possible, a separate room may be provided to ensure their privacy and well-being.

Our transitional apartments (Logifamille) and permanent housing (Les Voisin·es du Canal) are also intended for women with eligible children.

Donations and Support

You can donate online (one-time, monthly, or commemorative) via our Monetary Donations page. An official tax receipt will be issued.

We accept clean clothing, hygiene products, non-perishable food, furniture, and essential items for setting up a home.

Donations fund housing, psychosocial support, meals, essential supplies, and programs such as occupational therapy, cultural mediation, and the tax clinic.

Depending on the nature of the donation and transportation costs (or if they are covered), Logifem may arrange a collection. Contact us at info@logifem.org.
