Our new permanent housing project

Until now Logifem’s programs have been transitional.

In fall of 2024 Logifem will be launching a new permanent housing programme.

Located opposite Sir-Georges-Étienne-Quartier Park in the St-Henri district,

35 subsidized rental housing units (Rent subsidy programme ) ranging from 3½ to 6½ will welcome women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who wish to settle in a supportive community.

If you are interested in supporting this project financially, we would be most grateful! 

The building costs are fully funded, but we are seeking additional funding or gifts in kind for the following items:

  • Appliances for apartments and community room
  • Limited furniture and kitchen essentials for some apartments
  • Budget to assist with moving women into apartments
  • Furniture and equipment for community room and office

    • Subsidized rent at 25% of income
    • Unit size: 3 1/2 , 4 1/2 , 5 1/2 , 6 1/2 
    • Appliances and air conditioning included
    • Individual balconies and roof terrace
    • Elevator
    • Hydro at the tenant's expense (hot water + electricity)
    • Collective kitchen and community room
    • On-site Community Organizer
    • Pets allowed (conditions apply)
    • Non-smoking apartments (smoking allowed on balconies)
    • Possibility of obtaining a parking space (additional cost)
    • All apartments are accessible and 7 are fully accessible
